I hope your nose didn't damage your computer monitor when you typed that!
Get some russia our airforce and navy are completely free to pound you at will. They are not tied up at all.

The Athenian disaster at Syracuse in 415 B.C. also comes to mind. The Black Sea is a bad place of the US Navy to operate out of.
Very doubtful.
They know full well that the West will do precisely diddly about the situation.
War is about conviction and will, and right now the West has neither.
Putin and his generals laugh...
So how does the airpower thingy work out here? What would be the consequences for Tibilisi? I believe we have pledged the rearm Georgia. Medvedev gave an interview to BBC yesterday in which he stated that Georgia would not be permitted to rearm. So we’re going to wrestle with the bear in his own den, over Georgia’s determination to lord it over a “disputed territory” where it is despised, and from which it was ejected some 18 years ago? Yeah, let’s just follow the chest-pounders over the cliff. I’m sure the Poles and French will be right behind us.
Now that little tidbit jumped out at me......what do you think that could mean??....are the ChiComs looking for a little bear meat chunk for themselves in the east of russia ?? This is getting curiouser and curiouser
I say we return the favor. Say that any more arms sales to Venezuela, Syria, or Iran will be an act of war. For it seems that the Bear wants war.
It might mean that China is a little mad at Russia for distracting from their Games. This was China's coming out party, and that little dust up clouded it somewhat.
And it might mean that China is not happy that her ancient enemy Russia is getting warlike again.
So much for Obambi’s “securing our nation’s future” message. McCain can start naming his foreign policy staff now, and the house and Senate can start planning out their foreign affairs committees memberships & chairs.
We need to send in TROOPS to GEORGIA - they are our friends - UNLIKE the Russia!!
His answer? "Uh, Um...we um, where is that teleprompter...umm, we need ...uh, ummm, what was that question again?"
After getting the question: "I hmmm, Ugh... I will have..hmmm... my friend Jimmy Carter go to Atlanta and talk to the Russians there." LOL
We need a good Obama speech and we need it now.
...and it means means war if they do so. Sounds like the Russian are becoming a rogue state on their own.
“Kinda makes ya wonder if Patton wasnt right.”
I’m certain Eisenhower was very wrong, and should have heeded Churchill’s counsel more closely. With every passing decade, Eisenhower’s legacy (like Carter and Clinton) diminishes in stature.
If we were limited to naval/littoral ops, I would agree wholeheartedly. We shape the battlespace from ground to sea to air to space. I like our chances, even in the Black Sea area.

"Call it sabre-rattling, its just fact."Well, I don't have a saber to rattle, but I do have a longsword.
