Having launched a fearsome tautology Moscow's way, what further action does the Greatest Alliance Of All Time take? Cancels the next NATO-Russia Council meeting. That's it. No dissolution of the G-8. No blocking of Russian entry to the World Trade Organization. No suspension of participation in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics (15 miles from the Georgian border). No statement of support for the Saakashvili government.
Disgusting display of pusillanimity by NATO. What would they do if Poland were invaded?

As I read the NATO statement ...
HERE ... it reminded me of how the Marxist Socialists (reads
enemy Democrat & RINO Parties) treat their citizenry.
We're sorry your home was invaded, your wife & child were raped, and murdered, but we decry all violence ... And no, you may not be armed to protect yourself from these oppressed people.
Think about that as the "state" orders you to wear your seat belt, or mandates your child wears a helmet when riding his/her bike.
It's too bad ignorance isn't painful, and there isn't a cure for cowardice.

No greater arguement for US drilling its own oil is the impact it will have on the Russian so-called economy. W/ an announcement that drilling can proceed the price of oil will drop like a rock and the gusher of cash into Moscow will slow to a trickle.
That should be right about the same time that Georgian partisans start sniping Russian peace keepers, challenging supply lines and generally making this a very expensive adventure for putin.

The Wal-Marts in our area sold out of ammo this weekend. One customer was overheard saying: “I hear the Russians have invaded Georgia. I’m gonna make damn sure that doesn’t happen in South Carolina.” ;>)

I thought it was Georgia who invaded de-facto independent region of South Ossetia killing in the process Russian peacekeeping soldiers and ordinary citizens there.
