Just watching it on tv I noticed a distinct lack of “woo hoo” in the crowd. It was more like they were covered by a wet blanket and occasionally gasped for air when it was lifted off of them.
Good description! Yes, people would seem to come out of their topor with a Pavlovian type repsonse to ‘CHANGE’ or ‘ECONOMY’.
