Could be that no one wanted to be Barry’s partner.

I've been saying this for quite a while. No serious dim would want to be tied to Obama ...... It had to be an idiot lib representing a very limited number of voters who collectively possess the political knowledge and logic of a bag of hammers. Someone who knows he doesn't risk his seat.... No matter how stupid he acts or talks.

Hence ... Senator 'Foot in Mouth' Joe Biden of Delaware.

This pick:
1) Takes McCain’s age off the table
2) Takes “Change” off the table
3) Is a desperate, defensive pick meant to fill in the experience gap. It’s essentially the Cheney “gravitas” pick, but only with a condescending Delawarian instead of a person with actual experience like Cheney.
4) Adds nothing in terms of geography (goodbye South)
5) Two elitist Senators opens up the chance for McCain to pick a governor and run against Washington as an outsider.
6) I’d put money on Palin at this point. Palin would take over about 5% of the female Hillary electorate and that alone would put McCain over the top.

Given the way Barry’s glow has been dimmed lately, it would be pretty reasonable to assume most Dems would not want to tie their tail to his kite. Biden isn’t that old..not old enough to retire from politics, anyway. Why he would agree to this, amazes me. Ego or party pressure, I guess.

But it sure made my weekend.
