Bidden said Donald Rumsfeld should resign as defense secretary in the wake of the Haditha killings to show the world “we take responsibility for mistakes and we’re ready to change.”
Biden said. “In retrospect, it’s clear to me they had no intention of doing anything other than going to war in Iraq,” Biden said. “This is going to (go) down as the single most tragic foreign policy mistake of this century.”
Biden said that if the United States had not gone to Iraq, Saddam Hussein, “left unfettered,” would have gained access to a nuclear weapon in five to seven years.
post 46 - Biden has been on television so much it will be a treasure trove of campaign material. I love the one in the last election when he admitted he lied to get votes. Biden claimed he had miners in his family when he was campaigning in a coal mining area. I guess he was trying to build a bond with the common folk. When the claim was check he had to admit publicly that he lied.
