How is Barry going to blast McCain in his stump speeches for his bad judgment in voting FOR the Iraq War? That is an excellent point.
Barry had to walk on eggshells before--now he'll have to be REALLY careful about what he says, how he says it, when he says it, who he says it too--LOL!
"Uhhh ... well ... ummm ... above my paygrade ... ohhh ... annnnnnd ..."

I hope so, too. I had no idea about really anything they did. All of them except of one guy (who seemed to regret being involved) said they would do it all again...only be better organized.

Here's my worry...McCain's camp has come out swinging day after day with ads blasting Barry. But why nothing on abortion? I know McCain is pro-choice but I can't help but fret over his VP not being so and him skipping this issue.

“This pick:
1) Takes McCains age off the table
2) Takes Change off the table
3) Is a desperate, defensive pick meant to fill in the experience gap. Its essentially the Cheney gravitas pick, but only with a condescending Delawarian instead of a person with actual experience like Cheney.
4) Adds nothing in terms of geography (goodbye South)
5) Two elitist Senators opens up the chance for McCain to pick a governor and run against Washington as an outsider.
6) Id put money on Palin at this point. Palin would take over about 5% of the female Hillary electorate and that alone would put McCain over the top.”
You are correct on EVERY point. Did you see the picture of Palin holding the fish? This will go over well with the “people who cling to guns and Bibles”.
Didn’t Bambi want his VP to help him with the ECONOMY?? And how does the Dumbest Senator fit that criteria?

The image of a young conservative, pro-life, pro energy independent woman on the ticket? Thats a winner.
Palin I believe is a winning choice. People have gotten over the hype about the first black President, and because Obama offers nothing else, that he is tanking. But the first female VP, is a new story, which will get a lot of favourable coverage.

Correction: should read “I know McCain is pro-life...”

So is that freakin idiot Frank Luntz!

Are you too young to remember Gerry Ferraro? And a female VP on the Repub ticket will not make the Drive-Bys do anything but attack.

Luntz is an idjit. Predicted Biden yesterday but said now McCain needs a guy with national exposure to counter Biden. Umm... McCain has as much experience as Biden. Said Edwards poor debate performance sunk Kerry. Yeah. Just like Quayle’s poor performance sunk Bush in 1988. Oh wait... that didn’t happen.

Actually, I think it is a brilliant pick. Obama’s message of an imperfect messenger just took on added value. We’re not perfect men, and we have the plan...Turning into teflon before our eyes...

Wow!! The McCain team is on the ball!

Good morning :)
That is a great ad at the top of the forum. I didn't know there was a documentary on The Weather Underground. I'll definitely try to catch it.
Lanny Davis on the phone with Cavuto: "This is a day to celebrate a great VP choice by Barack Obama."
Pfft. Either Lanny is playing nice for his boss Hillary. Or he's such a leftist that Biden actually looks good to him.
To: Miss Didi
You have to love Neil Cavuto, he keeps calling Biden's home and his mother's home a compund! Now, he is wondering what it is worth.
Earlier, he was talking to an Obama advisor, and asked about the Biden compound, since Obama is worried about how many homes McCain has.
