He may have been born in Hawaii(the COLB was fake, proven beyond a doubt)but Obama also has several other things going against him even if he was actually born in Hawaii, which he has not proved to anyone yet(despite what factcheck says he has never produced a viable Hawaiian birth certificate).

He has held, and maybe still does hold, Indonesian citizenship which also makes him ineligible for holding the Office of President. Can't have dual citizenship and run for President.

However, even if he renounced his Indonesian citizenship there is still a problem, he was adopted by his stepfather, his name was changed to Soetoro, there is no record that he ever changed it back and because he lied about his name and having held Indonesian citizenship this also disqualifies him for holding the office of President.

There is also the fact that most likely(since Indonesian law says you can only hold one citizenship)his step father ivalidated his American citizenship(if he actually held one)in order to declare him an Indonesian citizen.

This means that if he reapplied for citizenship when he reached 18, and there is no record he did, he would then be naturalized citizen and not a natural born citizen, again disqualifying him. This suit has legs and Obama now has to actually prove he was born in Hawaii, that he is NOT NOW or NEVER has been an Indonesian citizen(which he can't do since there is ample proof he held such citizenship and probably still does)and that his name is legally Barrack H. Obama and not Soetoro.

He cannot prove all of those(maybe his birth in Hawaii) and even one of those items is enough to sink him.

Legally, there is no prohibition, but it would be a killer politically. Many Americans hold dual citizenship.

I call BS.

What is your Constitutional or statutory reference that says this is true?

Can you give me a link or something about his adoption by his stepfather? I have not heard this anywhere but the threads here, and have never found an actual source for this claim. But a parent cannot renounce US citizenship for a child under 18.

Where does the Constitution say that? (Hint: it doesn't).

If Obama was born in Hawaii, he is a natural-born citizen. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled (in Trop v. Dulles,<./i> 356 U.S. 86 (1958)), that if you are born in the U.S. you are a citizen for life and cannot lose that citizenship except by your own voluntary renunciation as an adult.

Bottom line: except for the claim that Obama was not born in Hawaii, all of this is legal gibberish.
