Forget about a Republican winning in SF. While there are conservatives out there, they probably aren't able to vote.

My brother, who used to live in SF relays this story;

He and his wife move to SF and he registers to vote, checking the "Republican" box for party affiliation. He mails in the card and waits for his Voter Reg card.

After two weeks, nothing arrives, so he registers again. Again, no Voter Reg card.

A third time he registers as a Republican - a third time, no card.

Then he registers as a Democrat . . . . . . his card arrives in five days.
