Oh heaven’s sake - are you joking? Biden is highly respected and would be a great choice. If Obama picks him he’s in the clear, especially if McCain is dumb enough to pick Romney.
They all have rap sheets. Nobody that I know were wanting Biden “chosen”. In fact I have republican friends who would’ve voted for Biden for President over McCain.
