Really, at an Air Force Base? That seems kind of surprising. Maybe that was before they went wild on the high standards of living.
Oh Lord this was ‘81 way before hurricane Hugo, and they were 50’s era barracks, similar to what my father lived in back in the 50’s!
Everything about the place was old. We had common latrines, showers. E-2’s and below had latrine duty and so forth. We did have a single sink in the room and if you were below
E-4 you doubled up with a roommate.
Those were the days!
