WASHINGTON - Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani will give the keynote address at the Republican National Convention next month and Democrat-turned-independent Sen. Joe Lieberman also will take center stage at the GOP gathering.
John McCain's vanquished Republican primary rivals and a slew of potential McCain running mates also have speaking roles at the four-day gathering in St. Paul, Minn.
President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, first lady Laura Bush, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lieberman, who was the Democratic vice presidential nominee in 2000 and is said to be under consideration for the same role with McCain, will open the convention on Monday, Sept. 1, with speeches that focus on service.

LOL. Did you click on the link?
Your point? Neither you, nor Jim Robinson, are the keepers of who is and is not a conservative.
JimRob is on this site.
This site is for conservative talk. Take your liberal trash to a liberal site.
So your view of a liberal really is just someone who disagrees with you. That’s cute.
No, a liberal thinks it’s okay to kill babies and/or invite such a person to speak at the Pro-Abortion Republican National Convention.
Ah, so your definition of a conservative hinges solely on abortion. That’s nice, but there are many more issues this country deals with. There are many people in this country that are conservative on issues such as taxes, foreign policy, etc. that don’t really care about abortion?
Joe left his old party over their criticism of his support for the war. Other than that, Joe is still a very liberal Democrat.
Neither McCain, Rudy, or Joe are representative of the GOP and besides, I doubt many dems will be watching the GOP convention anyway. Who would he really be talking to that he can influence?
Funny.... too funny... hahahaha
Yes, me.
But I try not to use ‘conservative’ anymore because it has been corrupted just as ‘liberal’ (as in a classic and freedom loving sense) was co-opted and corrupted by the left. ‘Conservative’ has been hyphenated so much to mean so many things that it now means nothing.
I prefer the term ‘constitutionalist’ and I believe in small (not just smaller) government, low (not just lower) taxes, and personal liberty and individual freedom.
No, they may not be, but I have been charged with that so many times that I think that I must be.
Do you believe in the principles that donna cited? If not, then you are NOT a conservative and you don’t share the values and world view of the owner of this site.
Even if he isn’t the ‘keeper’, he is the owner and if he wants you gone, you are gone.
Please stop posting that crap to me.
I thought you read this:
As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

Please stop acting like a loon, calling everyone you disagree with a liberal, and attempting to tattle to JimRob.
That makes four of us, LOL.
Yes I read it. One can be a conservative without agreeing with 100% of the things on that list. Once again, neither you, nor Jim Rob, are not the gatekeepers of who is a conservative.
Once again, on FR JimRob rules.
People who don’t want to kill babies are loons?
Keep your liberal twattle to yourself.
That’s fine. But back to the original point, disagreeing with you does not a liberal make.
No, we're not. But you are.
