'Maurice Edu is on his way to Europe.
According to multiple sources within Major League Soccer, MLS and Toronto FC have accepted a $5 million transfer fee for Edu from Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers. Edu is stil finalizing personal terms with Rangers, but a deal is expected to be completed soon.'
The more US players playing for European clubs, the better.
Prime players don’t want to play in the MLS
Mainly by watching Celtic cruise to their 4th consecutive title!
I would have agreed last week.
But with the kick up the a*se after Kaunas, and with Edu, Mendes and perhaps a few other coming in before Aug 31st, I feel far far more confident about our title chances.
At worst, some of the average players will maybe now sit on the bench and be squad players to cover injury, with their place now replaced by some good quality.
Mendes is a great signing, Edu is excellent and if we can get a good centre half, I wouldnt give Celtic the title just yet...
Could admin tidy up the banner headline, please?.
Dont assume that we are finished either.
Latest strong rumour is Sylvestre of Man U.
I also expect Maloney to be home before the end of next week
Would have liked Loovens. I’d love us to beat Celtic for him at the 11th hour and 59 mins, 59 secs, but cant see that happening.
Russell Anderson is a rumour, be we really need top quality to replace Cuellar. And with Mendes and now Edu, I dont know if we will go for this Aussie at Palermo.
Id rather spend the 4m on a centre half.
Maloney?. Smashing wee player, did you know we were rumoured to be buying him a few weeks ago?...lol
Why you lot havent offloaded Donati I dont know, to me hes not been much better than Gravesen. And what’s Killen done?. Or am I being unfair.
Cant understand the Wolfburg player turning down Celtic, surely a step up.
‘Rangers have signed the American international Maurice Edu, 22, on a five-year contract, subject to a work permit being granted.
The Ibrox club have agreed a £2.6 million deal with Major League Soccer for the defensive midfielder, who has six caps.
Edu was recommended to the club by their former striker Maurice Johnston, who had coached the player at Toronto.
Edu joins new signings Pedro Mendes and Aaron Niguez in the expanding squad.’
