Besides all they have to do is touch on evolution and it doesn't have to be with the dogmatic mindlessness required by public schools.
Anyway, if they emphasize undeniably objective facts in their science curriculum -- math, languages, original texts (i.e. Novum Organum), chemistry, the laws of electromagnetism and other aspects of physics, objective biology (i.e. anatomy, genetics) -- the would be no objections and the kids would star in college.
And they would be much better prepared to deal with the propaganda and sloppy reasoning of some professors.
Actually, it wouldn't be a bad idea to make the read The Origin of Species and the Descent of Man.

Why?
If this Christian school gives in to these requirements, then the before long it will be the *government* who is **dictating** to *all* schools ( Secular and religious) just what is and is not acceptable in many or all of their courses. We will have a system of privately run government controlled schools. Wow!
I see this as the nose of the government camel under the tent of every private school in the nation. Every government college and university in states across this nation will not be attempting the same.
Historically, how well have these Christian students performed in the University of California schools? My bet is that they have done **very** well. This is likely very true if compared to students educated in atheistic government schools!
I suspect that Secular Humanists wanted to poke their big fat atheistic finger right in the eye of Christians.
This is is entirely about government *thought control*! It isn't the least bit about how well these Christian kids do in the government university. ( In the past or now.)
I see this as the canary in the mine shaft, not only for Christian schools but all private schools and homeschools.
This is a *government* school. *Government* is why this was in court. The government is attempting thought control. If this had been a private college there would have been no court case.
The solution: Keep government as small as possible. The first place to start reducing the influence of government is to get government entirely out of the education business.
