Get a grip. Do you really believe that? Is has nothing to do with the “purity of sports”.
Purist as with the Soviets (all national varieties) pawning off male contestants in the women’s games. Communist China is quite capable of the same sort of shenanigans and likely to use whatever gets gold.The propaganda value of winning trumps all other considerations.
