Georgian President: The price of freedom can never be set to high.

This stooge is not paying any price. His country is.

In this case, I think fascist-stooge Sakashvili probably has more to fear from his own people, rope, and sour apple trees.

Wrong...for standing up to the Russians he's more popular than ever.

“I take no sides in this dispute, but simply see it from a perspective of an ex-intelligence analyst.”

I think we’re wondering if it’s the GRU or KGB? Really, if you think your posts are objective, we’re pretty shocked to see it cast from an intelligence perspective when you haven’t even acknowledged the overwhelming military planning in advance of this operation.

How an intel person can overlook that “objectively” raises even more questions.
Not trying to offend you personally but really, it’s glaring.

“Maybe you intend to take no sides but you have been providing cover for Russia all morning. If this was the final solution for Russia why the oblique threats to Poland, Ukraine and the Balkans?”

I’m with you brother FRiend.

Bingo, Tommyjo!

Fun is fun, but all these yahoos who seem to seriously want a war with Russia over this really make me question what they’re putting in the watersupply.

LOL.

Nobody should take credit for what Russia has been doing for the last 20 years...backing down.

...and these wussy Serbs on their knee pads to that oaf of a back down artist Putin are booooooooooooooorrring.

Georgia and Ukraine will be in Nato within 3 years and Russia can do nothing.

I’m shocked that we have so many Russian apologists on Free Republic! Putin is acting like the former KGB boss that he was and folks here are making excuses for him.

‘for standing up to the Russian’s he more popular than ever.’

Maybe, I guess we’ll find out when he emerges from hiding.

“MOSCOW, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said on Tuesday he would pull his country out of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) grouping ex-Soviet states, Russian news agencies reported.
“We are leaving the CIS for good and propose that other countries leave this body run by Russia,” Interfax news agency said Saakashvili told a big rally in his support outside Georgia’s parliament”

LMAO at Russia.

Nice gambit Putin, too funny.

Ukraine and Georgia will be in Nato within 3 years if not sooner.

Why is it impossible to believe that war crimes could be committed against Russian nationals? Because of Putin?

For shame, this little man in Georgia, this stooge, sends in troops in the middle of the night to burn families out of their homes. To round up men and boys. To shell a city with artillery barrage. This little stooge will be dealt with.

Ha! Georgia in NATO with 3 years. Good to keep a sense of humour. My friend, I wager you one ‘coke’ this does not come to pass, NATO will not be so keen to undertake the reestablishment of this fallen lady.

We can agree on that. Putin should be held on War Crimes charges for invading a sovereign nation, indiscriminately bombing civilian targets including hospitals. Like Sept 11th, he has awoken a sleeping giant. Now he shall pay the price.

They’ll say they have achieved their limited objectives, then Georgia rebuffed them and/or attacked them, so they had to proceed with further military action.

My guess is they want to continue to posture as the victim and it was becoming untenable, so they have to flop a la the NBA.

What makes you think otherwise. Russia has been in decline for over 30 years now and nobody wants to be part of Russia. It is in retreat and will continue that trend.

Lies and propoganda...you should be ashamed to even log in here! Sell that story to Pravda or Tass...they'll eat it up.
