Courageous men — one and all and a roll of the dice, depending on how far Bad Vlad is willing to go. The U.S. has stared them down twice before — once under Kennedy, once under Reagan, is three times the charm? How tough is this former KGB Golden Child? I’d say plenty.
So far, tonight is an “address” by the President. Other than a statement of the obvious (i.e. some really, nasty sh!+ going down in Georgia), he can “address” all he wants, it is what it is.

This entire mess is due to the lack of attention by Bush and Rice, this has been the worst president in history as far as foreign policy. I know Putin is shaking in his boots to hear that Jimmy is on the way. I give away my age, but I remember one statesman who came back from Berlin, with the reassuring statement “ Peace in our time”, I don't want to hear it again. This little brush fire in Georgia reminds my of Hitler’s march into Alsace and Lorraine, then the Checks. Heaven help us/
