If they’re smart, they’ll avoid occupation. Just encircle for now.
If Georgians are smart, they’ve prepared for and are already starting guerrilla insurgency operations against the Russians.

My prayers are with the Georgians. The russians have time and again showed themselves to be less than human. Paranoid barbarians with an inferiority complex is all they are. This is bad. I think I heard McCain quoted as saying when he looks at Putin he “sees KGB in his eyes.”
I would have to agree with McCain on that.
I have a lot of friends there and spent time there in 2005. I have a son adopted from there.
I love the Georgian people. They are my second family.
I cannot decide whether to cry or vomit.
It is my understanding that the Presidents or Poland, the Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania are on their way (in person) to Tiblisi now to stand with the people of Georgia. God bless ‘em one and all. Very couragous men who know the score and the cost of inaction and who are apparently willing to lead from the front and risk all for freedom’s sake.

Putin’s always been a thug, a KGB thug. In fact, I believe I read that McCain says when he “looks at Putin he sees the KGB in Putin’s eyes.”
I don’t love McCain but he sure gets my vote in November.

As opposed to people in the U.S. who can't imagine that happening here. I hope this serves as a warning to the West that a surprise attack could happen to any of us. We are no longer vigilant; just fat, lazy and obsessed with the latest fads and celebrities.
The WWII generation which understood these things is dying out.
