I know all that I have been working on that for weeks.
What if he is a dual citizen of US/Indonesia yet born in Honolulu?
We are back to the phony birth certificate again.
Then according to the 14th Amendment he's a natural born U.S. citizen, and according to Article II he's constitutionally qualified to be president.
Though why he would have Indonesian citizenship now is beyond me.
With the kind of money bamby has he can easily bribe the CCF. That's all I can come up with.
My Mom had to give up her Italian citizenship to gain U.S. citizenship. We have been under the impression the U.S. doesn’t allow both.
I have this mental image of people in the Obama campaign monitoring threads and blogs like this one...and laughing themselves silly.
I have also heard that there would have been a huge backlash against the CCF if they had stolen back the nomination which as you say they probably could have done.
Many people think that if you are born on American Soil you must be an American Citizen, and in theory that is true.Link HereHowever, if one of your parents is not an American Citizen, usually your father, and if that parent Registers you as a National of their country and if that country does not recognize the concept of Dual Citizenship/Nationality you are not an American unless you become Naturalized.
The Nationality of your American Parent and your place of Birth are not relevant, the Law of the other Country takes precedence under The Master Nationality Rule of Article 4 of the Hague Convention of 1930.~~~~~~
If Kenya does not recognize Dual Nationality, Senator Obama is a Kenyan and has been since he was two years old. Prior to that he would have been a British Subject.
If his mother gave up her US Citizenship, and if he was Adopted by her Second Husband, and if Indonesia does not Recognize the Concept of Dual Nationality, Senator Obama is an Indonesian.
In neither case does his Place of Birth or his mothers Nationality have any legal Consequence whatsoever because the USA accepts the existence of Dual Nationality only if the other country does.
Hague Conventions are applied by the USA and this has been US Law since before 1930 (see:Memorandum on Nationality, including Statelessness: Document A/CN.4/67, Prepared by Ivan S Kerno, International Law Commission, United Nations General Assembly, 6th April 1953.)
No. Chapter Six of the Kenya Constitution states: "A person who, upon the attainment of the age of twenty-one years, is a citizen of Kenya and also a citizen of some country other than Kenya shall, subject to subsection (7), cease to be a citizen of Kenya upon the specified date unless he has renounced his citizenship of that other country, taken the oath of allegiance and, in the case of a person who was born outside Kenya. made and registered such declaration of his intentions concerning residence as may be prescribed by or under an Act of Parliament.
If his mother gave up her US Citizenship, and if he was Adopted by her Second Husband, and if Indonesia does not Recognize the Concept of Dual Nationality, Senator Obama is an Indonesian.
There is no evidence that his mother gave up her U.S. citizenship, or that her second husband adopted Obama.
I haven't kept up with it, I'm afraid. Absent any evidence whatsoever that Obama wasn't born in Hawaii as claimed, then Obama could post a Cracker Jack label as his birth certificate and it wouldn't change his status as a natural born U.S. citizenship.
All I will say for now is that a lot of things don’t add up.
The evidence that she did and that he was an Indonesian citizens is simple, he went to an Indonesian public school while he lived there during a time when only Indonesian citizens were allowed to be enrolled.
She spent her life in Indonesia even after her divorce from Lolo Soetoro.
And all I can say is that I can think of three dozen reasons for not voting for Obama without breaking a sweat, and without resorting to nonsense about his status as a citzen. If Obama is going to be defeated it'll be because of where he stands, not where he was born.
It's not as simple as you think..
Barack Obama is not legally a US natural-born citizen according to the law on the books at the time of his birth; a law that was in effect between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, when the law was changed.
However, the new law did not preempt the former law in the cases of those born between the above listed dates when the old law was in effect.
Therefore, Senator Obama may very well be disqualified as the Democratic candidate in the upcoming Presidential campaign.
Presidential office requires the person elected to be a natural-born United States citizen if the child was not born to two US citizen parents.
US Law very clearly stipulates: If only one parent was a US citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16.
Barack Obamas father was not a US citizen, and Obamas mother was only 18 when he was born, which means although she had been a US citizen for 10 years, his mother fails the test for being so for at least 5 years prior to Barack Obamas birth.
In order for her child to have been a natural-born US citizen, his mother would have had to be 21 at the time of his birth.
In essence, Mrs. Obama was not old enough to qualify her son for automatic US citizenship.
And that particular law is detailed where?
I think the jury is still out on that one. It's a no- brainer that he is a slimedog and a typical liberal dem rat, that's not too hard to figure. The rest is. I would like to see a clean birth certificate for starters.
From what I have read on the subject and mind you I’m no expert on Indonesian law during the time Barack Obama was Barry Soetoro and went to public school there Indonesia was a particularly nasty dictatorship that required citizenship papers even for elementary children as a means of crushing how shall we call it the loyal opposition.
Any way such was the political climate at the time or so it has been reported...
Meaning absolutely no disrespect to you, but given all the wild accusations flying around I'd prefer if someone could quote Indonesian law or something like that before I accept it as fact. There are a lot of errors being accepted at face value on this subject, a little skepticism is not necessarily a bad thing.
