McCain returned from Vietnam in March 1973. His extramarital affairs apparently began in 1976, and culminated in his marriage to a very rich and very much younger woman in 1980. I doubt that McCain or any of those close to him would claim that his affairs were the result of being mentally broken by his torturers in North Vietnam. I would posit, however, that at 71 years of age, his years of adultery have come to an end.

Not quite but almost the same. Edwards actually served one full term in the Senate. Although, like Obama, he never actually did anything while there. And, Silky did at least practice law for and won (albeit with lies) some cases.
Obama on the other hand has never practiced law to my knowledge, never accomplished anything in the Senate, State Legislature, never published an article when he was head of the law review, never held a real job and never managed anything even as complex as a Cub Scout Troop.
However, you are correct, it's still pretty close as to which is least qualified. At this point I still think Obama wins since he's only the Baby Daddy to his wife's kids.
