If you ever read comments at the SF Chron, you'll observe that unity is across the board when it comes to the rage against the filth and despicable acts going on in SF.
Why should vagrants feel bad about pooping on people's door steps when there's a whole City Elite, bunging, being nude in public?
Why shouldn't they sleep and take over the public parks - when the gays get a pass for doing the same things.
I've interviewed many a "street person" during my time, selecting to spend time with the coherent to ascertain and learn about their rationale and justifications.
And then there's the gang crimes. No one can/is allowed to talk about who is causing the crimes because to do so would bring up stats, and the City would have to undergo another round of Amos Brown and his cultural sensitivities. Or Tom Ammianno and his cultural sensitivities.
For years, the brawl inside City Hall has been over which large power group will run the City: Blacks or Gays.
This has resulted in: infrastructure meltdown. And of course, the innocents get caught in the crosshairs. The money which is supposed to go to the "needy" (of any perspective) ends up in the pockets of those leading the hue and cry of "we need". Families see that in order to survive, they must to some extent TAKE A POSITION. Their children get caught up in gangs. The schools fail to educate and properly assist. The police are prevented from doing their duty. And the Democrats, gay, straight, minority, continue to demand MORE money to fix the "problems".
Obviously, in re the Fillmore, some special buddies have connections and an eye to turning in huge profits under the chimera of "gentrification". They say it will boost unemployments rates, get rid of unsafe (non-earthquake/non-fireproof) structures and ultimately rid the area of "vermin".
Heck, the Tenderloin was a "gentrification" project too. It's now going to be "certified" as a hangout for drugged people. A Sanctuary. For people to take drugs publically.
The people behind the scenes market this crap, the people who live in these neighborhoods get the full pressure and leave.
