Sorry if that word offends you, but it's the correct term here.
The term bastard has fallen out of common usage. While that’s the dictionary definition, it’s uncommon to hear it nowadays.
I agree with others, the child is innocent; the parents are the ones who did things they shouldn’t have done.
With Edwards, in this case, he was so supportive of his wife as she faced cancer, and apparently he was doing things he shouldn’t have been doing behind her back.
“bastard” has a bad common language connotation.....I know what it means, but I hate seeing a child referred as one.....JMHO....
and as I said: being 'correct' is not always 'right' = and remember, 'bastard' can also apply to people who act as bastards- like maybe hanging this title on an innocent baby, in this day and age.
