Try this: position your cursor (the arrow) on your desktop, just on the image, and right-click the mouse. That’ll bring up a menu, and you should choose “Personalize” at the bottom of the menu. When the new window full of choices opens, choose “Desktop Background” - and once that opens, see the 3 choices at the bottom of that new window for “Choose a Desktop Background.” At the bottom, see the “How should picture be positioned?” - and choose the one which fills the entire screen. See if that works.

My 84 year old dad ends up with the bottom task bar on the left side.

I’ve tried getting him to put the cursor on it, left click and hold down and sweep in an arc back to the bottom.

Doesn’t seem to work.

any suggestions?

Thx.
