None of this will matter one way or the other, even if true. Here’s why:
1. No Republican will touch this or pursue it because doing so will end his/her career. They would be attacked and smeared in the press to within an inch of their life. The party would be blamed. McCain would lose. The Republicans are not about to blow their current energy issue advantage by pursuing this. (vast right-wing / conservative conspiracy against the black man and all that).
2. The only challenge the could possibly be taken seriously would have to come from the Democrat side. The only Democrats with anything to gain are Bill and Hillery. But in the end it would still be a loser for them. If she brought it up, it stuck, and she was the convention nominee, the Democrats could kiss the black vote goodbye for at least a generation. She would not be able to win the election. If it didn’t stick, she and Bill would be persona non grat in the Democrat party forever after (sorry Chelsea, no political career for you).
3. No mainstream media will pursue this. It would be a career ender (see above). I doubt even Fox News would touch this with anything less than rock solid, irrefutable proof and a signed glossy of Obama himself making the forgery.
This will be a matter for the historians... and only if they have stones enough.
That is why we are exploring lawsuits at the state & federal level.
