Since you like to deal in facts, this should be a short discussion.
No self-respecting conservative with principles will vote for McCain. Thus, he loses against an opponent that would normally be easy to beat.
The very fact that someone would vote for McCain negates their ability to be conservative, thus solidifying McCain's position as an ultra-liberal candidate.
