Romney has right RX for McCain
Seattle Times ^ | August 3rd | Froma Harrop

We who obsess over universal health coverage may soon confront a startling development: The only candidate on a major-party presidential ticket to have proposed and implemented a universal plan could well be a Republican. I speak of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, now high on the list of John McCain's possible running mates.

Me too ... and there will be a signioficant number of democrats who will vote for him. That’s why it is the perfect storm year to place a real high integrity conservative on the ticket with moderate McCain.

My short sighted yet gifted gif man, just who do you think runs that state? Puuulease. :^)

Myth Romney was Governor. He NEVER helped the right people.
Here is one example. WHO HELD Myth back? MLK?

National Guard Lt. Anthony Circosta poses in his backyard in Agawam, Mass., on June 9, 2007.
At left, his wife Danielle and daughter Kylie, 2, talk near the swing set. Circosta,
a decorated Iraq War veteran, seemed like an ideal candidate for a pardon from
then-Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for the 29-year-old's boyhood conviction
for a BB gun shooting. Romney denied the pardon,
twice, despite the recommendation of the governor's council.

Do you think by putting your replies in boldface that somehow more people will pay attention to your rantings? LOL!

Who did you vote for in Massachusettes during the last Senate primary? I didn’t think so.

“... johnny-one-note hate Mitt rap ...” How childish of you. Tossing the word hate around so frequently is like hollering wolf a few too many times. Eventually the trasparency is obvious to any reading the comments of the Romney sycophants.

I agree that Romney care would be a failure of epic proportions country wide.
Personally, I can’t stand it.

However, I also think that McCain/Romney wins in November, and that no other ticket comes close to that prospect.

So, McCain would destroy our country by giving amnesty to 30 million illegals, which would inevitably lead to millions more pouring over the border (see the 1986 amnesty), and Romney would destroy our economy and bring entrenched socialism to America--something liberals have only been able to dream of accomplishing--but, hey! WE WIN THE ELECTION!

I can't believe I've actually seen the day when Freepers are advocating socialized medicine. Not you, but others in this thread.

McCain will choose Romney, unless he is a fool, which, given McCain is always a possibility.

How typical. A RomneyBOT insulting Sen McCain,
pushing Romney as Superman, ignoring the data posted,
and --again, as always-- invoking the Mormon-as-a-victim card.

You flaglady47, up above were the first to bring it up.

How exactly is he “taking credit” for “Duncan Hunters” fence?

A: That’s not Duncan Hunters fence.

B: Even if it was.. how would Romney be taking credit for it? He doesn’t have to have Hunter’s permission.

“I find it SO hypocritical that anyone that calls themselves a Christian finds McCain acceptable ...” That’s misdirection and you ought to know it. If you don’t, try not to join in too often because your method hurts the Mittster more than it helps him.

Didn’t Reagan share a laugh with Tip O’neil as well. TEFRA?
Romney is not my first choice but your manner of response will only turn off those who might otherwise take your position into consideration in this debate.

Ah, another johnny-one-note hate Mitt rapper turns up. Keep it up, we’re all on to you. Especially liked your “Romney sycophants” line. Does that fit under the hate category?

"So why is Romney running?
He (Romney) has contempt for the public he claims he wants to serve.
Does he think no one noticed that he pledged not to run against a sitting governor and then elbowed Jane Swift to the sidelines?
Does he think no one remembers that he promised to let voters pick his running mate and then pushed Patrick Guerriero out of the race to make room for the underwhelming and underqualified Healey?
Does he think voters weren’t insulted when he answered a challenge from O’Brien to agree to more debates by saying:
"It’s very, very important that all of our citizens get a good night’s sleep,
and if we have to have them watching these debates, they’re just going to get bored to tears and they’re not going to get a good night’s sleep."
"He (Romney) shows little respect for the work of government.
... "It’s not entirely clear why Romney, who ran for the US Senate in 1994,
lusts after something — a career in government — which he so clearly loathes.
Is it power-mongering? Ambition? Ego-tripping?
Who knows. But it’s something Romney should work out in therapy on his own time and his own dime. "

it would be nothing short of political suicide for McCain."
