Have never visited DU because I don’t have a hazmat suit.
Am back on dial up and would appreciate a quick rundown on what is going on in the sewer links. DU, Kos, Huffnpuff, etc.
Thanks so much.

This is a great opportunity for the republicans to bring their stand on drilling before the American people. As one FReeper mentioned earlier, the President could call an emergency session of congress to force the issue. The media play of the democrats taking a 5 week vacation while ignoring the energy crisis would have to get exposure.

Let the revolt commence!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like they too my advise when I called for a revolt a few days ago. (Yeah, I'm taking the credit! lol).
Now that we have leaders leading the revolt, we need the people out in the streets to turn this into a huge uprising.
But, we need the president to also be engaged in this revolt. He need to call the congress back into session to vote on an energy policy which makes us energy independent, which lowers energy prices, and which allows us to use all resources at our disposal to bring about the changes. That includes drilling in Alaska and off-shore, and using coal and shale oil and nuclear energy and whatever else bring us energy.
It all of those things happen, America will take off like a rocket again and most or our economic problems will be over. We will then just need to work on lowering taxes and cutting spending. But, even that can be done by expanding the revolution of 2008.

C-SPAN is running a crawler that says House adjourns but GOP remains on the floor to debate energy policy - No coverage allowed.Get a screen capture of that!

Apparently Nancy has got her Nazis, keeping all private cameras out of the House, FNC among others tried a couple of times to take a camera in, but got jumped on by her goons.

Hey FNC: How about you set up a camera outside the Capitol bldg, and make sure oall of the Congressmen know, that when they aren’t speaking *inside* they’e got an international audience waiting for them *outside*, and to “come on down” and give some interviews where Nazi Pelosi can’t use her goons to shut down the video feed to the American People!

At 4:11pm Foxnews reported on it but said that cameras are prohibited by house rules. They did play a foxradio feed about what was going on on the floor and are calling it the Republican revolt. I guess one of the rep’s deplaned and was heading back to the house. Now thee is camera coverage being shown now at 4:37pm! It’s being shot by cellphone.

Just surfed on by MSNBC where they referred to the republicans staying behind to debate the energy issue as bizarre On FNC they referred it to pranks (such as stuffing up the toilets ) played on the last day of school.

So THAT’s the dems’ Energy Strategy?: Turn off the lights and go home? Speaks volumes, doesn’t it?
