The "commercials" ( Those that take delivery. ) drive the market. They trade 3 times more contracts in Light Sweet Crude...and in the end...the non-commercials and the commercials total are only net long 12k contracts from a total of 1.6 million contracts...as of yesterday. These evil speculators aren't driving this bus.
How much will be too much? When its $9-$10 dollars a gallon. When even our national security is as stake because of how much oil we need for military training and operations? What will be the benefit of this kind of speculation then? What if more investment firms get on board doing this? This could be the beginning of gas prices going even much higher. Drilling here and drilling now would offset this some but by how much?
You are barking up the wrong tree. Investment firms already have commodity traders. You sound like a Democrat politician.
I’m certainly not a democrat. I’m not a marionette for the Republican party either though and that pisses some people off. I approach every issue with what I believe is the best for the citizens of this nation, not for the politics of the Republican party.
