“This is commercial being shown on Iraqi television - you know, the kind of television that was banned under Saddam Hussein. For me, this makes what I and my fellow Soldiers did totally worth it.”

I can't watch this video and not well up. It's a beautiful thing we've done in Iraq, it's about time our success gets recognized.

I can see that this is excellent and I get the general idea, but I wish I knew what the word is at the end that the crowds are spelling out, or understand some of the language, especially the writing at the end. Anyone here read and speak Arabic (assuming that’s Arabic)?

Me too. I’m going to guess it says Iraq, or something along the lines of unity. Or maybe...”yes we can!”

If this thing works out in Iraq, we will have done an amazing thing. I think it will, if we keep with it. It breaks my heart to know that so many people in this country want to throw it all away just to deny President Bush any kind of success.

Maybe some October parades for our returning heroes are in order. Oops isn't there an election sometimes after that? Hey Democrats, gut it up and be a man. Including you losers, Pelosi and Reid.

Sometimes winning isn't everything --- ROFLOMA -- LOL.

this makes up for what Carter did to Iran in the 70s. We’re finally turning things around again in the region.

We can never pull out completely.

We all know that this success would not have happened if the Lord Messiah Barrack Obama had not called for us getting out of Iraq 1.5 years ago. All praise the Messiah B. Hussein for this wonderful victory! </sarcasm>

Paging Jveritas!

We need an Arabic translation of an Iraqi commercial playing in Iraq. It looks like Sunnis, Shiites, and Kurds in the street facing each other but staying apart from each other. And then the little kids from each sec run toward each other and hug while the adults watch and begin to cry before they too all start hugging.

What is the word at the end of the commercial?

Iraq Commercial

Thanks!

The phrase at the end of the commercial translates as “ If we are divided we will not stand”. The commercial songs mainly says the following: “there is No Sunni and No Shia but let us all unite under allah and love...”

I've seen this on TV a couple of times recently and it's great. Yet another sign of the recovery this nation is experiencing.

I can't watch this video and not well up.

A lot of the Iraqis well up, too. They are a proud, patriotic and emotional people. And I welled up the first time I saw it as well. ;-)

You are most welcome. Yes this Great USA did great in Iraq. Our brave troops freed them from the terrorist regime of Saddam and then our brave troops utterly defeated Al Qaeda terrorists and the Iranian terrorists there.

Sounds great, and I'm proud of the work that our military and our government has done in Iraq. But....

Where are the women and the girls in that commercial? When will the culture catch up with whatever other progress has been made?
