Also known in as “selection bias”, or in this case “self selection bias”.

Yes, and while 25% of Americans think 9-11 was some sort of “inside job”; I am sure over 50% of those who log into “truther” web sites believe so.

Only 10% of people have a biological father who isn't who mommy said was the daddy; but 30% of those who CHECK the paternity find out they are not the father.
