DNC strategist Carville agrees (along with the 527-MSM, and EVERYONE who wants the GOP to LOSE).
James Carville, pleading for the GOP to blunder and put loser-Romney on the ticket:
: "It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing. Romney is an ascendant guy."

Let It be Romney, Please! Oh. I thought this was going to be one of those Leave Britney Alone stories.

For some reason that I can’t quite fathom, there are millions of Republican voters who just can’t stand Romney. Is it his flexible stance on abortion maybe?

No. On Fox, Morris says McCain needs a VP who appeals to women over 40. Who appeals to women over 40 better than Fred?

Romney isnt my first choice but he would add a lot to McCain. He is a fighter and excellant campaigner.

If it's McCain/Romney, Obama is #44.

Isn't this the same type of pissing and moaning that got us McCain as the nominee? We could do a hell of a lot worse than Mitt for VP.

While we watch this become a Romney-bashing whine fest.
Remember:
It’s reflexive Romney-bashing, which led to McCain’s nomination.
This time, the stakes are higher:
The Presidency.
It’s time to quit whining, and support Romney because he can WIN.

Romney is the wise choice. No one ever accused McCain for being wise.

If Romney’s so hot, why didn’t anyone vote for him in the primaries?

I am to the point almost where I am going to vote for the ticket so long as he doesn’t pick Crist, Graham, Rudy or another democrat for VP. Sadly I think it may be likely he does that, since he lives to kick conservatives in the crotch.

It really doesn’t matter who McCain chooses, the wrong name will be at the top of the GOP ticket. McCain is a POS and he is running a textbook campaign on how to lose an election.
To: Wendolyn128
Mitt’s public record is that of a hard-line Socialist. I’m not buying his sudden conservative shift. During the primaries, he came off as less than genuine and jittery as if he did not believe his own words.

Just don't make it Tom Ridge. I can't believe it's being reported that he's on the VP short list. Can you imagine a McCain-Ridge ticket? If nothing else, just imagine the visuals of those two side by side. Snooooze.
Of course, Dick Morris is sure it will be Ridge. But Morris is wrong as often as he's right.
