5.0 will wake up the dog. 6.0 the dog will come out of the doghouse and sniff around for a couple minutes. 7.0 the dog will give you white-eye.
My dog (put to sleep a few years ago) used to sleep through most earthquakes. They didn't bug her. Fireworks and the dumb idiots who like shooting their guns on New Years Eve scared her a lot.
