2. Rabi Kahane was many things, leftist was not one of them. He was an anti-democratic religious nationalist and ardent anti-communist who was implicated in attacks against Soviet interests in the US and around the world. He and his acolytes also fought the New Left and there are allegations that they informed for the FBI.
