Thank you, Lady Jag!
Dutchess! How can I ever thank you! Thanks for posting Jack’s picture out there! With my DH and me, it’s like us and our three (3) sons! CHRIS-DAVID-...and JACK!!!!!!! Thank you so much! And thanks for the challenge!
Thanks Free Kitty.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has named a dog after him.
My husband went away for three weeks with the Marines and in fact, he just returned home. But...on day 1 when he arrived at his destination, he opened his suitcase only to find that Callie left him a damp present. :O It was surely a good thing that he was out of the Continental U.S. otherwise Callie would have been heavily regretting what she’d done.
She’s a huge, huge cuddler and the kids can hold her any which way and Callie is always amenable. She just has this thing about, well, pee.
What a beauty. Picture brought tears to my eyes.
Your welcome.
Rush was blown away. I think he really liked the idea.

Hey PrissyMissy. How could grandma have forgotton bandit??? Bad granny!!!! And I can’t wait for the day you come back to Ohio!!!! (granny too :o) )
LOL!
I don't know anything about huskies, but Springers are much softer and more compliant than Labs (they are also too short to reach the kitchen counters.)
If you look at her pedigree and see a lot of FCs, HRs, and GRHRCs before her ancestors' names, and a lot of MHs and SHs afterwards, she's a field dog and that temperament comes with the territory.
If you wear her out mentally as well as physically that will solve a lot of the problem. And if you throw bumpers for her (or better yet have the kids throw bumpers for her - start at about 50 yards and work on increasing the distance) and have her do swimming retrieves (start her on a 30 foot floating line), she will work a lot harder than you do (which is good because, as you note, you can't walk her enough to wear her out! Nobody can!)
Up here, some people have asked us if we named him after the band “Rush’.
We just say no, and wait for a reaction, and the reactions we get, both good, and bad, are always very revealing.
A very close relative, who is a Vegan, and drives a Volvo, (not that there’s anything wrong with that), ;-), looked fit to vomit when I told her who we named the dog after.
Heh.
Woo hoo!!
