Homosexual conduct is currently prohibited by the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) and is cause for removal from the service.

What does the UCMJ say about heterosexual conduct in the "open"? Is this one of those "half the facts" quotes? He's a dem, so assuming half the facts are in evidence may be too generous..

I don't think Hoyer supports legalizing sexual harassment. Currently, homosexuals are dismissed from service for revealing, even indirectly, their orientation. The same restrictions do not apply to heterosexuals.

I know here in Israel gays serve in the armed forces and we've had no problems that I'm aware of.

If it rises to the level of conduct unbecoming under Art 133 or service-discrediting under Art 134, it could be punishable, but I don’t recall ever having seen one of those, unless it was adulterous as well.
