LOL - one again, the fickle lefties demonstrate that individuals are not to think for themselves.

The current fad is to march lockstep with Obama.

I had to think about this one a sec. Hypocrisy is most commonly defined as “do as I say, not as I do”. You could classify it that way I guess.

Really it’s more “I don’t like it because it wasn’t my (collectively “our”) idea” which I’m sure has a different distinction entirely but I’m blank on the buzzword at present.

They are the same hypocritical, seditious types as we had protesting the Vietnam war and siding with the enemy.

Their issue is much less about whatever fighting our forces are doing to defend freedom and liberty as they are about fundamentally destroying the liberties of this republic and what they are based upon.

That is what they are really about and their actions line up perfectly with it.

I think we SHOULD consolidate our troops. Theran is the most logical place. That will allow us to clean up Carter’s mess quite effectively.

Well, from what I gather reading the comments at the DUmp, they think he’s just saying that to win, and they’re ok with that.

Katrina van den Heuvel (editor of The Nation) said in an interview on CNN that the reason the left wasn’t getting more excited about recent positions Obama has taken was that he had made commitments, in writing, to them that once he was elected he would support them and that he was just doing this now for electioneering.

Liberals' opposition to the War was purely a function of their loathing for Bush. If a Democratic President had pursued it, they'd all be unabashed war hawks. And yes - they are hypocrites! They're only opposed it turns out, to wars prosecuted by Republican Presidents.

I thought the author was going to point out that the SO CALLED antiwar activists:

...carry pro-Palestinian war banners.
...carry 'I Support The Insurgency' banners.
...have never once protested Al-Qaida's warcimes.
...have never once protested Iran's sabre rattling.

As a SO CALLED peace movement:
...they have publicly demanded the murder of our President and the death of our troops...

This is not a peace movement. It is an anti-American and anti-Israel protest movement led by Communists. Communists were also behind the Vietnam war protests (Jane Fonda was decidedly FOR North Vietnamese Communist victory and said we'd all want to live under Communism if we knew what it was). Communists in America also protested efforts to go to war against Hitler while Stalin had a pact with him.

Socialists lie. There was nothing PEACEFUL about Bill Ayers' Weather Underground.

Ralph Peters Bump!

The messiah is sadly lacking in many areas but especially in foreign affairs and militarily.

With all due respect to Ralph Peters, he's wrong on this one.

Evaluation of the June 28-29, 2008 National Assembly to End the Iraq War and Occupation By Jerry Gordon, Marilyn Levin and Jeff Mackler Members of the Administrative Committee of the Assembly’s 50-Member Coordinating Committee

3. Added Afghanistan to the name of the Assembly because the U.S. is fighting two unjust, illegal and brutal wars simultaneously and both must be opposed. We are now the National Assembly to End the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars and Occupations.

The usual suspects were at the conference: UFPJ, ANSWER, SDS, Troops Out Now, Cindy Sheehan, Appeal for Redress, Lynne Stewart, etc.

Those who know nothing of war - and who decline to serve - kind of like a nice little invasion of their own. Forget those pesky human and financial costs - as long as the left can have its own war, war's great!

That's always been the hallmark of the coffee-house revolutionary as well as the keyboard commando and the armchair general. Obama has a plethora of all three working his case.

One of the best indicators of how the troops (remember them?) actually perceive this is twofold: their reception of the policitian in person and the recruiting numbers. During this "unpopular" war both have indicated stellar support for the "unpopular" Bush.

It's tough to hide. I was in the Navy when Jimmy Carter came along with all the qualifications the Left thinks important in a candidate: some sort of military checkbox filled to fool the troglodytes and behavior as if he were the UN's little plush toy. I saw what happened. We don't need that again. Nor do we need this:

Have you stopped to wonder if BHO might not be your LBJ?

If he is there'll need to be another Nixon, another Bush behind him to clean up the mess and be reviled for it. And so the cycle continues, and so it will until somebody on the Left quits living in a storyline-driven fantasy world and starts smelling the blood of the real victims and not their imaginary ones. Pigs will fly first.

The media is one of the largest hypocrites involved with Afghanistan rhetoric. Why have none of them mentioned that NATO nor Karzi have asked for over 20,000 troops? The US really can’t send in troops willy nilly.
