I met one of the moonwalkers and was surprised at his small size. Part of the selection criteria for moon astronauts was a small uniform size to lower transportation costs and strong religious beliefs so they wouldn’t crack if all was lost. Having the ability to firmly believe in a watching deity in the sky with no actual testable proof is not far removed from believing in UFOs.

I have often wondered if perhaps the crew of Apollo 8 should have read not only from the first book of Genesis, but from Genesis Chapter Six.

Having the ability to firmly believe in a reality outside of oneself with no actual testable proof is just as fantastic yet this belief is the basis of the scientific method.
