Look at it this way...
If a "journalist's" left-wing activism drives the story selection and content, and he or she knows it, then that person is merely a cynically lying snake.
If, however, a "journalist's" left-wing activism drives the story selection and content, and he or she somehow thinks it is totally fair, then that person in an hysterical cynically lying snake.
