From what was said on TV, green is not the color of Hamas, but the color of Islam. So the Obama tribe got that wrong, in their fear that they might be associated (correctly) with terrorists.

Actually green is a symbol of HAMAS in Israel. When the US State Department sent some "emergency money" to the PA a few years back the PA leaders buit some nice 50 bedroom houses with it. They commonly used green tile roofs or green tinted windows to signify their connection with HAMAS.

Yes, I said 50 not 15, I posted some pictures of the poor Palestinians mansions at that time.

cant blame BO on this one, Jordan is very strict on dress codes for women. His guidelines are standard traveler info.

The head scarf in question was a gift from the womwn Laua was meeting with. It would have been rude of her not o try it on, but she did not keep it on for the rest of the trip. I don’t think I have ever seen Condi in a head scarf nor Dana Perino.

With the exception of a few of the most fanatical and reactionary nations, most Muslim countries do not require non-Muslim women to wear headscarves. I have never heard anything about Jordan requiring non-Muslim women to wear them.

Jordan is among the most progressive of Muslim countries. They have women serving in the legislature, and women have been voting there since the 1960s.

And obviously Israel doesn't require it.

That's probably a symbolic message to his radical leftie friends and supporters, who believe that Israel belongs to the Palestinians, so anything done there should be consistent with what the Palestinians want.

Obama is being silly at best, misogynist at worst. Maybe he's taking it out on other women as compensation for having to bow to his domineering wife.

That's an interesting theory.

Do women with toned, muscular arms offend and threaten the fragile egos of Muslim men? YOU tell ME. Judging by their reactions, I'd say they're afraid it'll make their weewees smaller to catch a glimpse of a woman's limbs in public.
