Those leaders of the Conservative movement always go after libs.

If Romney was a lib they’d be going after him.

But he’s not.. so they’re not.

McCain gets blasted daily on Rush’s show. Romney does not.

Las Cruces could go McCain (they seem a little more sane there). I wouldn’t have a Bush sticker on my car in Albuquerque or Rio Rancho.

" It seems like nearly all of New Mexico has served or is serving in the Armed Services. Uniforms everywhere."

Wearing Birkenstocks and eating granola bars?

They must have bought the uniforms at "Old Navy."

So were they all just stupid to have fallen for Romney’s rhetoric? Actually many if not all of those named have called him conservative. But that not withstanding, why would they all endorse him if he wasn’t conservative. Why not just trounce him like they have McCain & back a real conservative?

Many, if not all those named not only backed him for Pres., but are doing so for VP as well. Why not pick a real conservative if he’s not? Again, do they know something you don’t? Or perhaps you know something they don’t. Which do you think it is?

Bork’s an old man, just like Buckley was, and easily deceived. Tancredo was paid off for his endorsement and he stabbed Duncan Hunter in the back. Santorum spent, by his own admission, about an hour or so with the guy and I’ll say knows practically nothing about him. As for Rove, he’s no “magnificent bastard.” His record of siding with Establishment liberal RINOs is well known. He foisted two of those phonies down my state’s throat with Senate races. His failure to replace these types with real Conservatives from 2000-06 is why we lost the Senate. We’ve got senile Republicans that are going to be replaced with Democrats in this cycle and in 2010 thanks to him (indeed, Dr. Coburn had to defeat a Rove-picked choice in OK, otherwise that seat would now be occupied by a rodent).

And yes, I was pissed off at Bork’s being f**ked by the rodents for SCOTUS over 20 years ago (that was retribution for his role in carrying out the President Nixon’s order in Watergate), but that doesn’t change what I said. I’d have expected Bork to have since retired from the court by now had he been approved.

Rio Rancho ? That still leans GOP. ABQ is a mixed-bag, of course. Ironically, my rodent relatives live in some of the heaviest GOP areas of the city. We at least have a solid candidate for the 1st who will hold the ABQ House seat for the GOP, Sheriff Darren White. I still ultimately believe McCain should perform better than Dubya did there (presuming, again, he doesn’t completely self destruct).

So, they were just deceived. All of them! They looked at his record (& probably did far more research w/ far more resources than you), & still came to a much different conclusion. Are you just smarter than they? Do you have better connections than they? Are they just too green behind the ears to see what a grizzly vet of politics like yourself can see?

In short, all these bastions of the conservative movement are flat out wrong, & you & a handful here are right w/ all your resources & wisdom. Koolaid, wake up? Hmmmmmmm

Hi there hypocrite, you're the one bringing up mormonism on the Romney thread (You jumped in at post #16 to be first at inserting 'mormon' and 'hate' in the thread). But that was a nice try at deceiving folks, hypocrite. It is becoming obvious that the Romeny ites use the issue of his mormonism to divert from his too liberal past. [BTW, aren't you the woman who claims to be a pastor?]

"Am I correct from your comments that you think the 19th Amendment was a mistake?"

I'll go farther than that; all of the amendments from 14 through 19 were gross ursurpations of the original constitution, and huge mistakes.

Loser Romney therefore can add NOTHING.

There is but one logical choice.

The "Warrior and the Woman" (will Win BIG
attacting a large fraction of the pro-Hillary frustrated Democrat women.)

I disagree that they looked at his record at all. From some claims from these folks, they chose to GLOSS over the record and take him at his word and “presume” he was a Conservative. A guy who is as pathological as Clinton/Gore with his dishonesty, and with an overwhelming obsession for the Presidency because he believes, like Gore, that it was stolen from his daddy.

It remains, ignoring the man’s liberalism, his lies and fraud, I don’t believe Slick Willard is psychologically fit for the Presidency.

You said: Do you have better connections than they?

So you think that 80% of Freepers who did not support Flip are wrong? Why are you even on this forum then? Jim Robinson does not support Romney; quite the contrary. So I am guessing you wish to tell him that he is “just flat out wrong” and that he needs to wake up.

Yeah....Hmmmmmm.

>>>>>Actually many if not all of those named have called him conservative.

If that is the case, it should be easy to locate the links to substantiate such public statements. Right? While you're at it, lets see exactly what part of Romney's record you or anyone else would deem conservative.

I offered a few of my own remarks on Romney's liberalism at post #87. Lets see you defend Romney's record. Not his recent rhetoric running for POTUS either. Btw, the reason so many on the right go after McCain is his 25 year record in the Congress and his move away from supporting Reaganism and conservatism in the 1980`s.

Fact is, Romney's four years as Governor and his four decades in the public eye, contain a whole lot of support for liberal issues and liberal causes. Not limited to, abortion rights, gun control, gay/homo rights and nationalized health care.

Get busy.
