For all you know the kid in the article was a product of divorce. Is it still dad’s fault?

Yes. There is always a way. My daughters were the product of a divorce also. But I didn't leave and run wild. I stayed in the neighborhood, and worked with their mom..... for the kids.

It comes down to placing the needs of the kid ahead of your own wants. Even if the divorce has to happen. Not many parents are willing to do that.

But once I made a child, how they turn out, reflects on what kind of person I am. And that includes genetics and environment.

Well I agree that putting your children first and commiting the time for them gives them the best chance at a good life.

I just don’t agree that it is always enough.
