Could these anomalies only be due to a graphic program creating the type, what about differences in scanning resolution/scanner quality? You are taking on the tone of a “true believer”, which doesn’t boded well for rational thought. You’re not looking for the truth, you are looking to backup what you know to be true.
I’ve been following this story down to the gnats arse including all the counter arguments and have done much analysis myself. I’m sure you’ve done the same, right?
