I foresee a chicken livered Congress that might just let it expire without vote or comment. That would be the only way to avoid a political fight they can’t afford to lose at this time.

The guy on CNBC said that an extension of the offshore drilling ban is currently in both the draft House and Senate versions of the Dept of Interior spending bill. The Democrts will have to explain to their envirowhacko base why they are removing it. I think that we are going to see fireworks over this issue over the next few months. It might even lead to a presidential veto of the Dept of Interior spending bill.
