I hope so but the American people are so brainwashed. My sister is not a liberal by any stretch of the imagination but she was under the impression that the Republicans are the ones who raise taxes all the time.

I didn’t say the oil companies were at fault. The Democrats are a fault.

Well, we all can see where your priorities are...
what's a few dead Marines, the price of crude is all that matters to you...
“emotional?”
yea, if you had seen as many dead Marines as I have,
you might be a little concerned yourself!
Now, run along and go bother someone else with your BS!

This is going to help Republican candidates fighting to unseat some of the idiot rat incumbents in Congress.
Yes it will but only if they use it as a campaign issue. If they sit on their hands and stay mealymouthed and try to play nice, nothing will change.

Not all of this area that would be opened is deep water requiring special techniques. This would include lots of area that is reachable with jack-ups.

Good move. Now we know hes not screwing around. The fact that it took until the last half of his last year in office shows that he is screwing around.

That’s understandable. The Pubbies were in charge of Congress for all of her life, except the past two years or so...

"yea, if you had seen as many dead Marines as I have, you might be a little concerned yourself! Now, run along and go bother someone else with your BS!" Again, you are emotional and not talking with any rationality. Crude oil in 2001 ranged from $16/barrel to $28/barrel. NO OIL COMPANY WOULD HAVE DRILLED THESE DIFFICULT RESERVOIR THAT WOULD COST $50 PLUS/BARREL TO DRILL.

I just called and, yes, you can speak to a real live person! Thank you for the number. :~)
To: beckysueb
Everything will depend on how Mccain and the RNC handle this issue in ads and on the campaign trail. If they call attention to the fact that the RATS are the ones standing in the way of more oil supply and hopefully lower prices MAYBE it will resonate with voters. one can only hope.

After looking at the latest numbers on Congress’ approval rating, I seriously think we are seeing the true “dem voters”, the truly hardcore, dyed in the wool leftists. We all know that it is a small but vocal minority. I thought it would be higher but 9% seems in the ballpark.
You are very correct on the feelings versus thinking aspect of the democratic voters. As Rush always says, it’s easier to feel than to think..it’s the cowards way of doing things.

” No company would have drilled with oil at $20 a barrel?”
and before I leave you to your ignorance...
in the 70’s we were only importing 20% of our oil;
so, genius, somebody in America must have been drilling that other 80% for less than $20 a barrel!
Class Dismissed!
