Makes sense.

The missiles are a near empty, macho gesture. If they blow a nuclear device, that’s a different story.

I sense there may be some big moves in the middle east soon involving calming down Iraq, Syria and Israel, and it will be the Gulf Arabs, not the US, forcing the deals.

Even if they had a longer range missile and a nuclear device, how long would it take for them to weaponize the nuclear device?

The Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombs were about 4/5 tons, respectively. This dwarfs the payload of these missiles.

The Iranian military isn’t the threat, so much as the regime holding their own population hostage. That’s what the Japanese did in 1945 (before Hiroshima) and Truman called their bluff. I’m not sure modern Americans have the stomache for that.
