That's not true. A lot of the really left-wing churches believe that God favors socialist/communist societies.
Those are kinds of socialism, not kinds of Communism. Communism is a particular kind of socialism. Atheism is the essential organizing principle of Communism (dialectical materialism) as formulated by Karl Marx.
