As laughable as this lawsuit is now, it is a glimpse of what is yet to come once the institution of marriage has been totally degraded and belittled by this movement. Religions that criticize this ‘lifestyle’ will certainly be their next target. The agenda began with tolerance, moved on to accpetance, and will next have to be celebrated and glorified.

The liberal establishment continues to promote homosexuality and attack Christianity. Our religious freedom is being taken away and homosexuality is being pushed to our children.

If this guy can sue, so can I. There’s plenty of stuff in the Bible against me, too.

“Fowler filed his claim against Grand Rapids-based Zondervan Monday, alleging its Bibles’ references to homosexuality as a sin have made him an outcast from his family and contributed to physical discomfort and periods of ‘demoralization, chaos and bewilderment,’ the paper said.”

Why doesn't he sue his family? They seem to be the ones causing this guy his angst. Service of Process would be so much easier, because last I heard St. Peter's and St. Paul's heads are buried beneath St. Peters Basilica in Rome, and I sincerely doubt the Swiss Guard will allow anyone to drop a subpoena.

Similarly, I'm thinking Moses and the authors of the Torah are going to be truly difficult to tag. I could be wrong, however.

This homo must think he lives in Canada...where their courts take an opposing stance against the Bible. Especially the Bible’s denunciation of homosexuality.

Let’s hope that the Michigan courts, with close proximity to Canada, doesn’t follow Canada’s lead.

“Yesterday, U.S. District Judge Julian Abele Cook Jr. refused to appoint an attorney to represent Fowler”

I thought you only got a free appointed lawyer for defensein you cannot afford one. Does this me we give free lawyers to people to sue private companies on silly-ness issues?

“Bradley LaShawn Fowler, 39, of Canton, Mich., is seeking $60 million from Zondervan and another $10 million from Thomas Nelson Publishing in lawsuits filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the Grand Rapids Press reported.”

Sort of a Michigan ping....

Zondervan says that even if Fowler's claim is credible, he's suing the wrong party. A company spokesman told WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids that Zondervan doesn't translate the Bible or own the copyright for any of the translations but relies, instead, on the “scholarly judgment of credible translation committees.”

Yesterday, U.S. District Judge Julian Abele Cook Jr. refused to appoint an attorney to represent Fowler ...
<<

It appears that Zondervan is trying to pass the buck to the committee of academics who translated the Hebrew and Greek into English.

It also appears that the Fowler has asked the taxpayers to pay for his legal team.

I hope that common sense prevails with the judge so that the suit is dismissed as being without standing. Academic integrity and the ability to freely translate ancient writings, not to mention to create new works of opinion and commentary are at stake here.

Next: will Fowler attempt to ban all English Bibles he does not approve of? Or maybe he will just settle for being able to muzzle ministers who read the passages in question aloud to the public.

Let me suggest that Fowler would really be better off to consider that maybe God loves him so much that He has outlined behavior that is so damaging to his physical and spiritual wellbeing that it must be forbidden.

Moreover, unless and until such people take serious heed to God's warning, He cannot grant them salvation. Let Fowler realize that when Jesus is recorded as saying in Revelation 22 verse 15 that those who practice homosexuality (”dogs”) will not be allowed into the Holy City (a metaphor for salvation), it is for a very good reason.

(now also note that socialists won't be allowed in either, for socialists are liars about economic and moral truths)

So, nobody thought homosexualism was sinful until Zondervan published its editions?

At least he admits the Bible says that Homosexuality is a sin. Too many people, including leaders of supposedly Christian churches, say that homosexuality is no sin, and we just don’t know how to interpret scripture — and that we should instead accept their authority as to how to interpret that scripture.

Yesterday, U.S. District Judge Julian Abele Cook Jr. refused to appoint an attorney to represent Fowler in the Thomas Nelson case, saying the court "has some very genuine concerns about the nature and efficacy of these claims."

LOL, ya really think so Judge?

I don’t see this going anywhere. Just shows the lengths to which homosexuals will go to try to convince themselves their perversion isn’t sin.
