George W Bush - buffoon or great leader?
Telegraph.co.uk ^ | July , 9 2008 | Sameh El-Shahat

Whatever happened to leadership and honesty as presidential traits? I happen to believe that the only leader in the West to have these two admirable qualities in droves is the leader of the free world: George W Bush.

Let’s not forget how Europe does wars.

Usually we wait and wait until the enemy starts attacking, then we let them win a bit, then we fight until we are tired, then we just call the US to come over to clean our mess.

That is what happened in WWI, WWII, and the Balkans.

Samah, you are my friend...

Hating George W. Bush is not only dull and unoriginal, but it shows a complete lack of understanding of the world in which we live in.

Here, here!!

Can’t say how history will judge Bush43, but I think come November, no matter who wins, we’ll be longing for an honest leader.

Dang nice article giving President Dubya some well-deserved respect.

History will be kind and gracious to this brave and selfless man!

LOL! That's about right. And also, as the author points out, why the Euroweenies hate the USA and by extension, why they hate GW.

From the article:

"The usual hot air that Washington politicians seem to have made their own. Mr Obama is no different. We’re just too politically correct to say that the only thing refreshing about him is his colour. So we say he’s “bipartisan”, or he’s a “uniter”."

Sorry but I've seen NOTHING of a uniter in Obeyme, and even less in the way of bipartisanship. Bush pushed the uniter deal and the dhimmis turned up their noses. Obeyme doesn't even try.

Of course the dhimmi sheeple are blind to all of this anyway...

I’m not going to bother reading this but GW Bush has been both. He has been a great and sometimes horrible leader. He made some bad decisions and allowed others too much leeway and they made bad decisions. He was better at sticking to doing what was right than making the case for doing what was right such as with Iraq. He spent a lot of money trying to prove he was a compassionate conservative, Africa loves him but what did it get us or him politically? Nothing. He began a debate in which he emphasized conservative divisions on immigration rather than uniting conservatives and moderate Republicans around a security first plan. He nominated two excellent constitutionalist judges Roberts and Alito and managed to get both confirmed. I also think by the end of his term he will have been vindicated on Iraq but at a much higher cost because he did not understand of appreciate the nature of the propaganda war at home.

There were good and bad things. If we can manage to pick up a few seats in the Senate and keep at least parity in the House and win the White House then some of the not so good things may yet be undone and we may yet get Kennedy, Ginsberg, Breyer, or Souter to retire. That would be a win so nice to have but just remember having a court is useless if you can’t get your legislation passed and into law while the court is favorable.

I’m one of those who was furious with President Bush over a lot of things he did.

However, I never doubted his character or honesty.

Not many politicians you can say that about.

~~Excellent PING!

~~~
“Yes, we’ve all heard the Bushisms and laughed at them but do you really think somebody supposedly that thick can make it to the top of the most sophisticated political system the world has ever seen?
No, and that is because Mr Bush is far cleverer than most of his predecessors. He may not have been a Rhodes Scholar, but he has the ability to reach out to his people and read them.
Take the Iraq war for example. OK, so he got us into Iraq in the first place. But for Pete’s sake, he’s the leader of the world’s only superpower. He needs to take decisions, even if sometimes they have nasty consequences - which is far better than we do in Europe, where we enjoy dithering not as a means to an end, but as an end in itself.
Something had to be done about Iraq and our government was all for attacking it too. So let’s not blame G.W. for the war.
And when things did go wrong in Iraq, and there were calls to pull out, Mr Bush just followed his own counsel and doubled his bet with the Surge.
And he was right because Iraq is in a relatively better shape today than it ever was and Al Qa’eda is a shadow of its former self in that country.
This is a man who has the courage of his convictions.”
Europeans aren’t all loony, praise the Lord.
For all his faults, I have the strong feeling that by this time next year most Americans will look back at the Dubya years and realize just how lucky we really were to have him as our president at this point in history.
To the types of people who support Obama, unity means that politicians with their views are in charge while dissenters are pushed to the side (or worse). They are Orwellian to the core.
That’s why the article put those terms in quotes. Those are merely labels.
President Bush is and will be remembered as one of the greatest Presidents.
President Bush legacy:
President Bush led our brave troops to destroy 2 terrorist regimes in Iraq and Afghanistan and freed 50 million people.
President Bush led our troops to destroy Al Qaeda in Iraq and Afghanistan.
President Bush led our troops to an amazing VICTORY in Iraq and Afghnistan against the islamic terrorist enemy.
President Bush protected us since 9/11 and we did not have a terrorist attack in America since then.
President Bush cut our taxes.
President Bush appointed two great conservative Supreme Court Justices.
President Bush is the most pro-life President since Roe Vs Wade criminality has been established.
If not for President Bush great and strong leadership we would have surrendered to the terrorists long time ago and the world would be living the new Dark Ages.
God bless President Bush. God bless our brave troops. God bless America.
