Whatever happened to leadership and honesty as presidential traits? I happen to believe that the only leader in the West to have these two admirable qualities in droves is the leader of the free world: George W Bush.

Oh, heck yeah. Aside from work, there's not a whole lot to do over there. ;-)
I'll be back in the sand this weekend. Thank you for the prayers. I hear I am returning to a much quieter place than the one I left in April.
I think you may be onto something here but the bottom line is that George W. Bush will be rehabilitated by the hindsight of history from the worst president of modern times to something of a visionary. Where did he fail? One simple word: Communication. Bush failed to communicate successfully, his views convictions, the American imperative, the need for sacrifice, the vision thing as his father called it. He is every bit as convicted in his beliefs as Lincoln, Roosevelt and Reagan. The difference is, the other three mentioned were also great communicators. If you are unwilling or unable to define and communicate your positions and convictions, others will tar and feather you with their words. This is the main thing Bush was unable to accomplish.
Thank you so much for this posting. It’s refreshing to here something positive about George W. Bush, even if it has to come from a foreign journalist.
Sure he made some mistakes and there were missteps, could you or anyone else for that matter have done any better under the circumstances?
Finally, it’s about time the world stops listening to the liberal US main stream media and the opposing political party and takes a hard look at the facts and results as they’re know.
History will depict George W. Bush much better than he is currently being portrayed.
Great article and thanks again!
Amen.
this piece should be printed and put in a file for the future and for our kids and grandkids so that they can understand just who George W. Bush was...and to remind ourselves. History will, one day, say: George W. Bush - "He got 'er done."
I shudder - and at the same time gives thanks above - every time I think how close Gore and Kerry came to being president. We missed a big bullet,,,
Overall he has been a great leader...Protected this country after 9/11 and is courageous and honest...Have not always agreed with his decisions and wish he had shown some more compassion in his ‘compassionate conservatism’ but he has had a plateful of problems and did the best he could...
As so many of the 110% perfect people are wont to say.
Too many people demand that the person that will "deserve" their vote/support will agree with them on 100% of the issues...and be 100% perfect - like themselves, presumably.
So far's I know, there has only been one perfect man who lived on earth - and even HE wouldn't pass the mustard with the "pure" voters. After all, He said: "Render unto Caesar the things of Caesar" -
They'd even find fault with Him.
History will be kind to him.
;)
Thank you .. welcome!
Pleasure ... watch the video at the link.
That ought to frost some twinkies on both sides of the Atlantic.
LOVE it!
'going to miss this man.
God save us.
Ditto. Your gain .. our loss, but he and his beloved family deserve all the peace, serenity, pleasure and relaxation out of the spotlight and bullseye after these years .. challenges and enemies who would’ve crippled a man of much less fortitude, courage and faith.
God bless and protect him and his family always. We have been mightily blessed.
Personally, I think Bush would win a third term against either of these guys.
Thank you kindly.
I still remember the “Support America” rally (right after the 2003 Iraq Invasion)...in anti-American Vancouver BC, Canada....and it was raining like hell, but I had a great time.
If only...
I would vote for him again in a heartbeat.
Wow - coming from Europe nonetheless. the author may be correct, but he had better hire himself a bodyguard....
Have I always agreed with him? No.
But I haven't agreed with any administration 100 per cent.
As you said, future history may change the current outlook.
IMO, it takes a man of character to earn the disdain of as many people as he has.
After 9/11 we could have had a lot worse to deal with.
I kind of like the fact that the praise came form a foreign journalist. Maybe “ours” will get it, eventually.
