A son asked his father, 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?' The father, despite having a heart condition, says 'Yes'.
Father and son went on to complete the marathon together and many more after that, the father always saying 'Yes' to his son's request of going through the race together.
One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's join the Ironman together.' To which, his father said 'Yes' too.
For those who don't know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events: a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island of Hawaii.
Father and son went on to complete the race together. Now watch the video.

The Hoyts are well known in Boston, they run the Marathon every year.
Thank you for the link. I watched it again this morning. It gets more inspirational everytime I watch it.
I’ve just sent it to many. What an inspiration!!
I run the OKC marathon every year in honor of my mom. A couple of years ago with just about 2 miles to go I was really feeling sorry for myself and ready to quit and walk it in. About that time I look over and a man was pushing his handicapped son in a wheelchair encouraging everyone to keep going and not give up. I knew right away it was this same guy and I felt a little ashamed of my attitude. Not only did I suck it up and finish strong, but the next year I ran it with my 13 year old son. This guy is truly an inspiration.
With God, nothing is impossible.
Little Richard threw the word at us and it went right over our heads ... until the 60’s.
Wow. Way to ruin a great thread about inspiration with pettiness. You guys must be proud.
