I was raised a democrat since my grandfather, on my mother’s side, was a democrat US Congressman from Ohio many decades ago. That was a time when the democrat party was the party of FDR and Kennedy. A party long gone and now only a memory. Today’s democrats are not even a shadow of the people from the middle of the last century, and it shows all too well... I am an unabashed conservative, but the fringes worry me and I am glad to see that the political and independent middle now determine which way this country will go.An 'unabashed conservative' who longs for FDR?
